Michael Rose

Michael S. Rose, PT, DPT, GTS, TPI-MP2 received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Bachelors of Arts in Biology, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Through his clinical residencies, Michael has worked in numerous out-patient physical therapy practices and pediatric clinics as well as working at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center with patients suffering from spinal cord injury and California Medical Center working with patients following motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, various surgeries and other acute trauma.

Michael has also been an avid golfer his entire life and became a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor by the Titleist Performance Institute in January 2013 and a certified Medical Professional level 2 in 2017. His goal is to empower patients to play pain-free golf or simply return to the game of golf. His golf evaluations include examining a golf swing for various swing faults, performing a functional screen for possible limitations, prescribing various therapeutic exercises, and performing manual therapy treatments to improve each patient's individual limitations.

Michael has also become a Graston Technique© Specialist and is able to use Graston instruments and techniques for instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), which enables him to better treat scar tissue and fascial restrictions. Graston technique allows for faster rehabilitation and greater success when the goal is restoring range of motion, eliminating pain, and restoring normal function.

Additionally, Michael has worked with collegiate athletes as an Athletic Trainer for the USC Men's Basketball team, as well as with teenagers in the NBA All-Star Jam Session Invitational and women in the Lingerie Football League. Michael has also worked as a Patient Liaison for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, where he was responsible for speaking with pancreatic cancer patients and providing them with information ranging from diet and nutrition and pain management to end-of-life care.
