Jayson Garces

Jayson Garces, PTA earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in 2018. During his undergrad, Jayson interned the Center of Achievement/Brown Center in order to gain experience within the scope of Adaptive Therapeutic Exercise as he implemented land & aquatic based individualized exercise plans for people with physical disabilities including, but limited to cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, etc.

After graduating from CSUN, Jayson volunteered as a group fitness instructor and Exercise Director for 3 Wins Fitness, a free, non-profit fitness program, for adults and geriatric population. While serving the San Fernando community, he created weekly fitness agendas that primarily focused on fall prevention (given his target population), as well as instructing basic exercises that address balance, endurance, flexibility, strength, core and cardio.

Jayson has also completed an Acute/Inpatient clinical rotation at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital before graduating from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Concorde Career College in North Hollywood, CA in 2021.

Currently, Jayson enjoys providing assistance to our physical therapists at BACK 2 HEALTH PHYSICAL THERAPY in carrying out treatments and interventions in order to help our patients achieve optimal level of function and independence.
